Co-Founder, CEO​

After completing his four-year undergraduate program at the Middle East Technical University, Department of Statistics in 1998, he received his MBA degree from the University of Maryland. After working on statistics and economic analysis at the General Directorate of Statistics at the Central Bank, he continued to work as an economist at the General Directorate of Research and Monetary Policy. He was one of the founders of the Bank’s inflation studies research group as the Bank adopted to Inflation Targeting regime. Following his responsibility for the inflation working group, he was appointed as Deputy Executive Director for Research and Monetary Policy responsible for the inflation and real sector working groups in 2012. He has many national-international articles and papers published on inflation dynamics, core inflation indicators and seasonal adjustment. After serving in this position until 2016, he was appointed as the Deputy Executive Director responsible for the Real Sector Field Studies of the Central Bank. He assumed the leadership of the organization for 5 years as the founding manager of the field studies, which are still carried out within the CBRT and provide an important input to the monetary policy process. He established a team of 150 people in the bank’s administrative center and its branch network spanning 21 provinces, and pioneered the establishment of a dynamic information bridge between the real sector companies throughout Türkiye and the Central Bank. After leaving the Central Bank, he has been lecturing economic data analysis courses as adjoint lecturer at Middle East Technical University since 2022.
